Let me just say it, many modern white kitchens are blah and boring. But in this space by Lisbon architect Miguel de Cunha of Drago Capital the white gets some much needed personality with injections of patina, color and curves.

Outdoor-In: This cool tree collage introduces height and a sculptural element to the space. I love the color, subject matter and installation method of this art work. It adds a whimsical ‘outdoor-in’ feature to this kitchen, brightening the room and creating a bold focal point.
Wood Tones: Nothing warms up a white kitchen quite as quickly as accents in natural wood. A dark wood floor, sculptural wooden bowl and breadboard, a wooden eat-in dining table and Eames design chair with light wooden legs balance the glossy white surfaces.
Curves Ahead: To soften the profusion of straight lines in a kitchen, bring in rounded elements. A wooden bowl, a round dining table and simple globe pendant light add to the modern-electric tension.
What have you done to add character to your all white kitchen?
